Personally, I have found the TU Open Forum to be a game-changer. When planning my 2024 Florida fishing trip, where I aimed to pursue Snook, Sea Trout, and baby Tarpon around Mosquito Lagoon or the Indian River, I encountered a challenge. The aftermath of a fish kill in 2017 had severely impacted the Snook population, making it challenging to find relevant and up-to-date information online.

My traditional internet research yielded limited results, leaving me uncertain about where to launch my kayak, which flies to use, and what to expect during the months of February and March. Remembering the TU forums, I turned to this community and effortlessly posted my specific questions. To my delight, the responses exceeded my expectations, providing valuable insights into ideal launch points and expected catches. Unfortunately, I learned that baby Tarpon wouldn't make an appearance until early summer.
