Fishing the Pine Creek DLHO by Tammie Ferraro

My son, Matthew, came home from college for the weekend and we decided to spend a few hours on the Pine Creek delayed harvest section. We started at the Gamma Building, and worked our way up past the golf range. After a slow start, we ultimately landed 17 (8 trout each and 1 fun sucker by Matthew) in under 3 hours. Included was an exciting simultaneous catch, successfully landed with only one net between us! Had we not been eager to watch the Pitt-Clemson game, we may have stayed 3 more hours! Eggstasy Eggs and Hare's Ears seemed to be the ticket to success Saturday. with some success with a Caddis Nymph as well. Most were rainbow, but we did land a couple brown as well.
