Beauty of a catch at North Park by Holly

We love fishing and after moving here from Hawaii 3 years ago; we had to trade in our deep sea fishing gear which consisted of 80 lb class ocean reels, 100 lb test line, and humongous 10/0 hooks, for much smaller tackle! I think we are finally figuring this trout fishing out!

Here is my son Mason proudly showing off his beautiful catch! This magnificent palomino was caught on a butter worm, using a #12 hook, and 6 lb test line on Wednesday evening at the upper North Park Lake Pond. He hooked the fish beautifully on the lip for an easy release.

We can't wait for opening day on Saturday!

Thanks for the contribution Holly! And congratulations to your son on his nice catch.
