Allegheny Cleanways in partnership to clean up The Three Rivers

I just received this email from Penns Woods West - Trout Unlimited and thought it might be of interest to some of you. They are partnering with some other groups to hold two river clean up days. Details are below.

Join us for two upcoming river cleanups and let us know if this is something you want the chapter to be a part of going forward! See you on the water!

As part of our Conservation efforts in the greater Pittsburgh area Penn’s Woods West has granted $5,000 to Allegheny Cleanways to help in our shared effort of watershed conservation. This is our second season working with this amazing organization. Allegheny Cleanways has a long history of activism on both land and rivers cleaning up junk piles, tire dumps and stream mouths where trash collects. Check out their website and all the amazing work they do https://www.alleghenycleanways.org/ Last year we removed tons of trash, mountains of tires and more plastic than you can imagine as we worked with Allegheny Cleanways. We have several opportunities for you to join us on the river this summer to help spread our collective mission and have a lot of fun. Click on the links below to sign up and get details. Saturday, June 24th Chartiers Creek Canoe & Kayak Cleanup Saturday, July 29th Kilbuck Riverfront Cleanup For additional information, or if you have questions, please direct to: Bryan Mathie, Penn’s West Woods Conservation Chair 708-921-8373
